“I found pension records for two men who are not listed on the fort web site (www.friendsofortlaurens.org) who said they had assisted in the building of Fort Laurens.  John Sanders and Enoch Wingfield both said that Lieut. Parks and Taff Ross were killed by Indians on the march from Fort McIntosh to Fort Lawrence (sic).”
