Henry Armstrong
In September of the same year [1778] he was drafted under Capt. Cravens and went from Rockingham County to Fort Pitt, crossed the Ohio River and built Fort McIntosh. He was under Col.Crawford and Maj. Palmeter. They then marched about 70 miles, crossed the Tuscaroring [sic] River and built a small fort.
Henry Armstrong of Adair Co., Ky., private in company of Capt. Goodson in regiment of Col. Smith in Virginia Line for nine months, was placed on the Kentucky pension roll at $30 per annum under Act of 1832. Certificate 25036 was issued 12 Nov. 1833.
Armstrong applied for his pension on 2 Oct. 1833. At the time he claimed he was 79 years old.
